We now have a new events section! While it's still a bit of a work in progress, you'll see that we've replaced the old event listings powered by Upcoming.org with a new one we've created specifically for this site.

We decided to do this after realizing that Upcoming.org's listings just weren't getting the traction to be as useful as we (and apparently many of you based on the feedback we received) would have liked. So instead, we've created our own listings that allow anyone to list events for free. All you need to do is use this form to submit an event.

You'll notice there are two main ways to find out what events are happening. You can look up all events on a specific day or you can sort events by category (music, film, food etc.). For the music category, you can even sort events by music genre.
