Toronto is getting a new direct flight route to the nightlife capital of Europe
If you're already in the midst of planning your European summer, you'll be pleased to hear that Air Transat is officially launching a brand-new, non-stop flight route between Toronto and the nightlife capital of Europe.
Starting June 19, 2025, the new service will connect Toronto and Berlin, and will operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays.
Germany's capital is well-known for its historical landmarks, unparalleled cultural scene, and world-class collections, including those at the Egyptian Museum, Altes Museum, and Neues Museum.
If you're a history buff, you can explore iconic sites like the Brandenburg Gate, the Berlin Cathedral, the Reichstag Building, as well as the East Side Gallery.
Apart from its landmarks, Berlin is arguably best known for its electric nightlife and non-stop party scene, which consistently draws thousands of club-goers, live music lovers, and techno fans from all over the world.
Berlin is also the third-largest unserved market from Toronto Pearson to Europe, with more than 100,000 passengers flying indirectly each year.
The route — which will run until Oct. 24, 2025 —will be operated by the airline's A321LR equipped with ergonomic cabins and an inflight entertainment system.
The airline will also aim to strengthen its connectivity with Porter Airlines to offer connections from Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and Halifax.
