Air Transat Flights

Air Transat will soon have more options for Canadians to fly to sun destinations

Air Transat flights will soon be increasing in frequency, making sun destinations more accessible than ever for Canadians.

As travel continues to bounce back after the pandemic, the Montreal-based airline just unveiled the details of an ambitious 2023-2024 winter flight schedule, beginning on November 1, 2023.

The schedule includes over 300 direct weekly flights departing from eight Canadian cities. Compared to last year, over 20 additional flights departing from Ontario will be scheduled.

At the peak of the season, over 110 direct flights per week from Toronto, Ottawa, London, and Hamilton will be offered to over 20 destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America, and Europe.

"We are proud to present an ambitious flight program that is even more attractive than our pre-pandemic offer," said Michèle Barre, the airline's Chief Revenue Officer.

"The rise in our overall capacity for winter 2023-2024 also includes a major increase in the frequency of flights to South destinations, while enabling us to keep on strengthening our air network as we offer our Ontario customers even more flight options."

Air Transat is currently the primary airline serving the Dominican Republic and will continue to strengthen its position as such. Four additional direct flights will be offered each week connecting Toronto to Punta Cana, with one additional flight being offered to both Puerto Plata and Samana.

Cuba will also become more accessible than ever, with two additional flights departing from Toronto to Cayo Coco, and one additional flight to Holguín, Varadero and Santa Clara.

Those looking to travel to Mexico will now have four additional flights departing from Toronto to Cancún and two to Puerto Vallarta. One additional flight will depart from Ottawa and London to Cancún.

Finally, the frequency of direct flights to Europe year-round will also increase. During the winter, there will be a total of 20 flights to Europe each week to Glasgow, Lisbon, London, Manchester, Porto and Faro.
