Talk about an upgrade: College Street’s basement bar for bocce and draught beer has reopened down the street with two storeys and way nicer furniture. The whole point of one-handed lawn games is that you can hold a cocktail in the other.

Replacing the lower-level Parkdale party spot The Shop comes a bar that’s a lot more versatile. Owner Justin Bella has transformed the space into a hub for Filipino culture, from the BB’s weekend pop-ups down to the parties DJ’d by Toronto’s best.

Right upstairs from Sari NOT Sari is this snack bar sharing space with nightclub AMPM. It’s a no-rezo spot for noodles and cocktails running Wednesday to Sunday in the digs where Parts & Labour used to be.

This venue on The Esplanade takes its live music seriously. The Cathedral-themed house cocktails are definitely worth a mention, but the stellar sound system will definitely have you focused more on the music than the drink in your hand.
