This Week in Theatre: May 8 - 15
So this week marks the opening of several shows that are great to see with friends and family. Last weeks shows are spill-overs into this week so I'll mention some leftovers that should not be forgotton.
The Italian In Me - A comedy by Dina Morrone (Me & My Big Mouth Productions). A very funny show about one woman's autobiographical journey to Italy to try to be a star and work with the great artists of the time like Fellini. Runs until the 12th at the Diesel Playhouse.
Leaving Home - Soulpepper takes a stab at David French's classic family tale that became the first great Canadian play. The story surrounds the wedding of one son in a family where dad's word is law until it is superceded by his growing family.Runs to Jun 16 at Soulpepper's Young Centre for the Performing Arts.
Have I None - A futuristic piece by Edward Bond who has an incredible handle on the political and social zeitgeist. The play is also being performed on a boat, which will create a whole set of new sensations. Bring Gravol if you're a queazy boatman!!! Just kidding. I'm pretty sure there are stabalizers. Runs to May 20 and brought to you by April Productions.
