This Week in Theatre
Still in the midst of theatre-mania sweeping the city. Here are some more options to set your sights on:
New Ideas Festival - Alumnae Theatre's festival for new and up and coming playwrights. Could be some jems here with new works like Louise, Thelma And Something In The Middle by Julia Lederer, Gift Baskets by SiobhĂÂĄn Dungan, andTea On New Year's Eve by Diane Forrest, among the several others. Runs to Mar 24.
House - Daniel MacIvor is one of Canada's most enduring and powerful performers, single handedly responsible for the one man show trend this city is buried in. This one is worth it. A last chance to see this show. Runs to Apr 1 at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre.
The Overcoat - Canstage's remount of the Morris Panych piece based on an adaptation of the Nikolai Gogol story about an office clerk plays out like a 1920's Buster Keaton movie with no speaking and a lot of amazing visual images. Runs to Mar 10.
