Ex-Toronto Raptor OG Anunoby had hilarious encounter with Anne Hathaway

Sitting courtside at NBA games can be risky at times, something that American actor Anne Hathaway nearly learned the hard way on Wednesday night.

Former Toronto Raptors star OG Anunoby, now a member of the New York Knicks, attempted to go for a ball that was leaving the court in a game versus the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday. The 27-year-old nearly launched right into the area where Hathaway was sitting but was able to catch himself at the last second.

Most would be absolutely terrified to have this happen to them, but many noticed that Hathaway didn't appear to be phased whatsoever. That was confirmed the next morning when she admitted that she'd always wanted that situation to occur.

"I almost got crashed into last night," a smiling Hathaway said on a self-recorded video. "I've always wanted that to happen. Thanks OG."

Anunoby seemed to have some fun with the moment as well, commenting a simple yet hilarious "you're welcome" on Hathaway's Instagram post.

If anyone may have been upset, it was Hathaway's son sitting next to her, who seemed to be somewhat in shock but also rather disappointed to have his popcorn spilt by Anunoby.

Thankfully, no one came out harmed in this situation, and it turned out to be quite the run-in for the former Raptor.

Anunoby is in his first full season with the Knicks since being acquired in a blockbuster deal last December. As tough as it was for the Raptors to part ways, they made out quite well in the deal, receiving RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley in return.

This summer, they re-signed him to a five-year, $212.5 million deal. Through the first 11 games of the season, he's averaging 16.2 points along with five rebounds.
