Looking for a fun way to ring in the New Year?!

On Dec. 31, the city's Waterfront will once again play host to a spectacular New Year's Eve Celebration, complete with pop-up performances, dazzling fireworks, and a lineup of festivities sure to have you dancing into 2025. 

According to the City, this will showcase Canada's largest NYE fireworks display! The celebration kicks off at 10 p.m., and it's totally free to attend.

Wander the Waterfront

Head to Toronto Music Garden, 476 Queens Quay W., and you can enjoy short films from the National Film Board of Canada projected onto the side of the Canada Malting Silos, a DJ performance by Traxx & Feels, and a countdown show at 11:45 p.m. hosted by drag sensation Sanjina DaBish Queen and Mayor Olivia Chow

Or, head to Sherbourne Common, 61 Dockside Dr., and watch interactive circus performances by INCIRQUE and try your hand at dance lessons from Dance Together Festival while you wait for the main event!

Other great locations to catch the fireworks include Sugar Beach Park, Harbour Square Park, Harbourfront Centre, and HTO Park. All of these locations will include an audio broadcast. Or, you can watch from anywhere with a view of Toronto's inner harbour!

Free transit on New Year's Eve

Getting there couldn't be easier, as the TTC, GO Transit, and UP Express will all be offering free service on New Year's Eve from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m.

But don't worry if you can't make it in person, because you can also tune in to the NYE celebrations from the comfort of your home via the livestream link.

Toronto's waterfront New Year's Eve festivities are one of the city's favourite traditions, and this year's event is shaping up to be pure magic. So grab your friends, bundle up, and toast to 2025 in style!
