How the 2023 RBC Canadian Open is shaping up to be Toronto's event of the summer

Toronto in the summer means a schedule of great activities and shows — but one annual event in the city is shaping up to be one of the season's best.

The RBC Canadian Open is back once again and the tournament's mashup of sports, music, entertainment, and food should be on the top of your "must-attend" list.

Taking place at the iconic Oakdale Golf and Country Club from June 6 to June 11, the 2023 RBC Canadian Open is the perfect way to kick off a spectacular summer. Not only is it an incredible tournament and one of the oldest national championships on the PGA TOUR but it's also a celebration that brings together golf and music fans from across Canada.

rbc Canadian openReturning this year is the popular RBCxMusic Concert Series, bringing two legendary headlining acts to the stage — and we've got a feeling you'll want to see both.

On Friday, June 9, get ready to party with six-time Grammy Award-winning hip-hop group, Black Eyed Peas

The next day, seven-time Grammy Award-winning (and fellow Canadian) Alanis Morissette will shut the stage down in iconic fashion, on Saturday, June 10.

Friday and Saturday RBC Canadian Open "Grounds" tickets will get
you access to that day's RBCxMusic Series performances, and so much
more!

In addition to these musical performances, the 2023 RBC Canadian Open will have over 50 activations, fan areas and activities to engage with throughout the week.

rbc canadian openRBC Avion Visa cardholders will receive exclusive access to the RBC Avion Visa Sky Lounge, a must-visit hospitality venue — overlooking the 1st hole, while the RBC Vantage Deck provides a view for spectators at the 7th green and 8th tee.

In addition, RBC Cross-Border Banking will execute a long-putt activation which will challenge participants to sink their putt along a track that takes them from Toronto to sunny Florida. Every participant is granted one entry into a draw to win a coveted golf trip for two to Naples, Florida.

The RBC Canadian Open has also become famous for its 14th hole, known as 'The Rink.' First introduced by RBC and Golf Canada in 2017, this fan experience combines Canada’s most popular pastimes, golf and hockey, transforming the hole into a rink-styled fan experience — complete with hockey boards, an ice-resurfacing machine, as well as rink-side bleachers and viewing decks.

rbc Canadian openThe event will showcase an exceptional field of talent, including a number of Team RBC golfers: Corey Conners, Adam Hadwin, Mackenzie Hughes, Taylor Penrith, Adam Svensson and Nick Taylor plus U.S. Team RBC ambassadors Sam Burns, Matt Kuchar, Webb Simpson, Sahith Theegala, and Cameron Young.

Of course, 34-year-old Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy will return to the RBC Canadian Open to defend his back-to-back winning title.
