You could win big with Toronto Humane Society's spring raffle while supporting pets in need

In Canada, hundreds of thousands of animals enter animal shelters every year. For animal lovers, the idea of any pet being alone and left without a loving home is heartbreaking to consider.

This was the case for Rally, who was placed in the care of Toronto Humane Society in October 2022. Upon arrival, the retriever-labrador mix was diagnosed with ringworm, tapeworm, and heartworm -- a very serious condition, which required exercise-limiting treatment.

Being unable to exercise was incredibly tough for Rally because, as a young and active pup, all he wanted to do was go outside and play like the rest of his canine pals.

Thankfully, with the help of Toronto Humane Society and its kind donors, Rally got better. Now, he's free from ringworm, tapeworm, and heartworm, and he's ready to take on the world!

Feeling all better, Rally is ready to conquer the world!

He just needs a little love and guidance to help him thrive, and is currently waiting for his forever home. (Psst: There are plenty of other dogs, cats, and small pets at the shelter in need of homes - you can find out more here, if you're interested in adoption.)

Of course, adopting isn't the only way to help Rally and animals like him.

Funds raised from Toronto Humane Society's 50/50 Raffle help animals like Gyu-Gyu the cat and bonded bunnies, Grasshopper and Cricket, find their forever homes.

Toronto Humane Society has been a leading voice in animal welfare since 1886, providing excellent shelter care, finding homes for vulnerable animals, and overall making Toronto a more compassionate place for our animal friends – and it’s not stopping its life-saving work any time soon.

Right now, the shelter is running its Spring 50/50 Lotto – an initiative that helps raise vital funds for improving the lives of animals in need and its shelter services. Plus, a few lucky people have the chance to win incredible cash prizes. A win for our city's animals and a win for you? It’s a no-brainer.

Togo the dog and Lola the cat are just a few of the adorable faces looking for their forever homes in the Toronto area.

The more tickets you buy, the better the value – you can get 10 tickets for just $10, 40 tickets for $20.00, and a whopping 200 tickets for $40. Half of the jackpot will go to the first-prize winner, while the other half supports the animals at Toronto Humane Society.

Tickets must be purchased before Monday, April 24 at midnight, and the final draw will take place on Tuesday, April 25. The winning ticket will be posted on Toronto Humane Society’s social platforms, so keep your eyes peeled.

Vulnerable animals need all the help they can get, so if you're ready to contribute to making their lives better, you can find tickets for the Spring 50/50 Lotto here. Good luck!
