Love Chix Assembly Chef's Hall
Love Chix is truly a place for chicken lovers, but not just any type of chicken. Unlike its original Junction Triangle spot, which focuses on roasted chicken, this Assembly Chef’s Hall location specializes in buttermilk fried chicken tossed in their famous honey hot sauce.
Working together for 12 years, Jimmy Shelton and Paul Marshall (formerly a chef at the Italian restaurant Scaddabush and the renowned Chambar in Vancouver) partnered up to first establish Love Chix in the Junction.
Since then they’ve expanded to include this stall that caters primarily to the lunchtime crowds of the Financial District. Their 3-piece lunch special ($14) is a strong seller here as are their super juicy fried chicken sandwiches ($14).
You’ll need a serving of veggies as well, which is why they have a crispy fried brussel sprout side. Deep fried and coated with a lemon juice parmesan, you can get a small side for $4 or $8 for a large.
