Hanyang Jokbal on Yonge
Hanyang Jokbal is the first restaurant in Canada that has two locations, including this North York outpost, to specialize in the Korean dish after which it's named.
The jokbal (braised pig's trotters) served here is braised for up to three hours to ensure that the dish ends up tender. It comes in different flavours from original to spicy garlic and is served with noodles or rice.
They also serve bo ssam, teokbokki, makguksoo (spicy cold noodles), jumukbap (DIY rice balls), and seafood pancake that can all be washed down with makgeolli (Korean rice wine).
