This design magazine-featured Toronto house looks like it belongs in California

Look, Toronto might not have the Malibu coastline, the Santorini cliffs, or the expansive Bondi Beach, but it does have a lake, the bluffs, and Woodbine Beach.

So, what we're saying is we can totally pretend to be a seaside town with beach houses!

And no local home does the beach house look better than 7B Maughan Cres., which has been featured in design magazine Designlines for its beachy aesthetic.

The family room.

Designed by Parviz Bozorgmanesh and his son James Manesh from the design studio Protopia, this three-bedroom, five-bathroom home draws inspiration from all the great beach towns.

White oak floors keep the house feeling light and bright.

As Manesh told Designlines, they wanted "to invoke the feeling of being on the coast and one with nature - open, light, airy and tranquil."

"We looked at coastal locations like Bondi and Bronte, Australia, and also California for inspiration. I had recently visited Santorini Greece, and immediately fell in love with the white structures there."
