Huge culture festival coming to Ontario will feature over 1,000 experiences and events
A massive festival will soon bring over 1,000 hands-on experiences and events that celebrate the art and heritage of Ontario to communities across the province.
Ontario Culture Days is set to highlight the artistic and cultural landscape of the province this fall through hundreds of workshops, immersive activities, performances, and installations.
Whether you live in downtown Toronto, Kitchener, or Sault Ste. Marie, there are a ton of events to choose from all across the province.
This year, the festival has relaunched its user-friendly travel guides for different communities throughout Ontario, which will give you a chance to explore the province's various regions if you're willing to take a road trip.
The event's Festival Hub program will also continue for the third year, which highlights local communities that serve as focal points for you to explore programming, discover new destinations, and connect with the community.
This year's regional hubs include Brant, Burlington, Gananoque & 1000 Islands, Guelph, Milton, Oakville, Ottawa Region, Scugog, St. Catharines and the Niagara Region, Toronto, Vaughan, Windsor, Manitoulin Island, Sault Ste. Marie, and Thunder Bay.
Each hub has a dedicated event page, which allows you to browse the activities planned in that area during the festival.
2024 also marks the fifth year celebrating the Creatives in Residence program, which has become a central part of the annual festival. Each year, artists are invited to develop new community-engaged projects, which culminate in installations, performances, and activities.
This year's series resolves around the theme of Heartbeat, which draws inspiration from Don Kwan's Heartbeat of the Valley.
The Ontario Culture Days Festival takes place from Sept. 20 to Oct. 13, 2024.
