MUSIC | Candyrat Guitar Night
The acoustic guitar is one of those instruments that's hard not to love. Tonight at Hugh's Room, three great players will rekindle your love for the instrument, or toss some gasoline on the fire that's already burning! Maneli Jamal, Trevor Gordon Hall, and Van Larkins come together this evening under the banner "Candyrat Guitar Night." Candyrat is a boutique label based out of Milwaukee, and this is a showcase of sorts to spread the word about three stellar envelope-pushing fingerstyle guitarists. Fans of Michael Hedges and Toronto's own Don Ross (also on the Candyrat label) will be familiar with this style, and will definitely enjoy this show.
Hugh's Room (2261 Dundas Street West) $22.50 8PM
ART | Waning Worlds
Amanda Baron's special series, entitled "Waning Worlds," will be displayed at The Embassy Bar, and tonight is the opening reception for this showing. Baron lives here in TO and is an OCAD student, and her work makes use of mixed media to explore themes of alienation and self-awareness. Her series of collage prints, "Waning Worlds," was executed using an original technique of collage on acrylic glass which has been scanned and printed in a greater size. Tonight's event will include music provided by both a DJ and a live performance by the duo Galactic Nursery. "Waning Worlds" will be shown until the end of September.

MARKETPLACE | Fresh Wednesdays
Fresh Wednesdays return to Nathan Phillips Square today, with a great combination of delicious offerings from the Farmer's Market, great musical offerings from TO's best on the stage in the square, and (hopefully) great weather and outdoor fun. The Farmer's Market has been going strong since the end of May, and will remain open until mid-October. Today's musical guest, Yvette Tollar, will entertain you with her fusion of jazz, soul and world music influences. Tollar has collaborated with some of TO's greatest musicians, and will definitely put your day on the right track.
