TTC streetcar arrival times on your phone
The TTC has launched a new text message program that actually seems pretty good. Riders can now text the TTC to find out when the next streetcar is expected to arrive at a specific stop.
More than 600 streetcar stop poles around the city have been affixed with a pin, which customers send to 898882 ('txtttc') to receive a real-time estimation of when the next streetcar is due to arrive.
The feature is free (but standard text messaging rates apply) and numbers can also be accessed through the TTC website.
