There's a huge barbecue festival and dance party in Toronto this weekend

There's a massive party happening in Toronto this weekend with live DJ sets and droolworthy barbecue eats.

Back for a thirteenth year, Bastid's BBQ will be taking over the Bentway for a full weekend of bumpin' beats and sizzlin' eats.

Founded by Canadian DJ and producer, Skratch Bastid, what began as a community barbecue taking place in parking lots across Canada has blossomed into a full-on festival running all weekend long.

Music is at the heart of Bastid's BBQ, and this year will feature live sets from headliners Alchemist and Slum Village, alongside other performances from the likes of Skratch Bastid himself, DJ Koco and Craze.

While everyone's welcome to come on down and bust a move, there'll also be Breaking and Open Style dance battles happening between 3 and 4 p.m. both days of the festival, so you can take a step back and see how the pros (and very brave amateurs) get down.

In terms of food, you'll be able to pick up eats from Toronto favourites like Burger Drops — who'll be serving an exclusive Jerk Smash Burger, excuse me while I wipe the drool from my chin, —and Crumbs Gourmet Patties, alongside other surprise vendors.

Bastid's BBQ is taking place Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28, from 2 to 10 p.m. at The Bentway, and tickets, starting at $67 are on sale now online.

Kids are welcome, and those under ten years old can attend for free, but the event transitions to 19+ after 7 p.m.
