Rock legends to perform at Toronto music festival and tickets are less than $10

There's a new music festival featuring rock icons coming to Toronto this summer, and you can attend for less than $10.

Coming to the city's newest outdoor music venue, The Bowl, on Aug 24, Boomstock will be bringing performances by artists responsible for some of the biggest hits of the 70s, 80s and 90s.

Situated in the heart of York University's campus, The Bowl at Sobeys Stadium boasts an audience capacity of 9000, with plans for it to host a slew of live entertainment and concerts alongside open-air giants like the Rogers Centre and Budweiser Stage.

It's all kicking off this summer, and at the end of August, The Bowl will be playing host to Boomstock, a day-long concert event presented by boom 97.3, with a legendary lineup.

You'll be able to watch performances by icons like Bachman-Turner Overdrive, UB40, Chilliwack, Sweet and The Box. If that lineup doesn't appeal to you, it almost certainly will to your dad.

The best part of all? Ticket prices start at just $9.73, a far cry from the sky-high prices audiences have grown accustomed to these days.

Tickets to Boomstock go on sale through Ticketmaster on June 27 at 10 a.m.
