In The Window: Elvis Presley, Britney Spears, ESG
In The Window is back after a brief hiatus. This week I walked up to Yonge Street's Refried Beats to take a look at their used CD collection. Offering both classic and newly released albums, they have a great selection that is modestly priced.
After being in Refried Beats for a few minutes, I quickly noticed how well organized their selection is. In addition to their well organized bins, I also enjoyed their selection they had covering their walls — sometimes when you don't know what you're looking for it's nice to have the options displayed right in front of you.
ALBUMS
The staff at Refried Beats recommend...
Elvis Presley - Command Performances
"Well, he's the king of rock and roll. It's a double CD and has everything a casual listener would want plus more. It's also out of print, so it's modestly priced at $20"
Britney Spears - Femme Fatale
"One of the typical top 40 releases that we get all of the time. This one is selling particularly well right now. I find it hits a large clientele that enjoys both mainstream and underground music."
ESG - Keep On Moving
"A great retrospective of a little known group that had a lot of influence. We're selling it for only $10 which is surprising considering its label - Soul Jazz Records"
Another noteworthy bit of information is that the store is holding a 20% off sale until Sunday.
