Attention Idle Bassists & Drummers & Vocalists!
Hey YOU! Get out of your basement and onto the stage! Turns out there are some openings for uber-rockin, professional rock bands in Toronto! Love playing in a band more than sex? Want to travel? Ok, so you have to possess talent and charisma too. But if you think you're up for the challenge, check out these opportunities!
Shift-D
Shift-D is currently looking for a 19+ bass player who's willing to travel and practice Monday, Thursday and Saturdays in Hamilton.
As I've previously stated in a CD Review, "Shift D quickly aligns with my tastes, bringing likable, punky guitar rhythms and pleasing vocal arrangements that you'll undoubtedly be singing to yourself later."
During their eight year tenure, they've played alongside Guttermouth, The Planet Smashers, SNFU, Jersey, Bigwig, Tsunami Bomb, Downway, Silverstein, Idle Sons, and The Reason, in addition to appearing on the Warped Tour bill for Barrie this year.

Sifter
Sifter has an opening for a permanent drummer to add to their dynamic trio. They recently had to cancel a prestigious gig at the Edge 102.1 studios while the search for a replacement continues.
Sifter found themselves on an exclusive blogTO podcast back when the site was in its infancy. My first impression was that, "It's an exhilarating feeling when you stumble across a band with strong groovy rhythms, versatile highs and lows, echoic vocals, and catchy melodies."
Influenced by bands like Quicksand and Deftones, they've been rocking for ten years and are ready to hit the road to promote their new CD.

With influences like Hatebreed, Atreyu and Slipknot, you're surely in for a wild ride with Burial Society. They're in need of a new singer / screamer with intensity and stage presence.
