Roots Music For Africa

Tonight is the second night of back to back benefit gigs for "Childcare, Education and Dignity for those suffering the affects of HIV/AIDS in Africa" at the TRANZAC (Toronto Australia New Zealand Club. 292 Brunswick Ave.) The Skydiggers and Cash Brothers headline and Canadian social hero and UN Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa Stephen Lewis will say a few words. If this past 'Diggers annual Christmas funfest at the Horseshoe is any indication, look for possible special guests such as Tragically Hip frontman Gord Downie to appear.

Doors open at 8PM. Music starts at 8:20. 19+. Tickets $20, available at Soundscapes, The Tranzac, I'm With Stupid, www.greghobbs.com and at the doors. All proceeds go to the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
