JunePlum by Patois
JunePlum by Patois located on Dundas West is the latest exciting concept by the same owners behind Toronto's popular Caribbean-Asian fusion restaurant, Patois.
Located next to Patois, JunePlum is a retail-style grab 'n go shop selling a curated selection of merchandise, snacks, and pyramid-shaped crispy patties.
The latter, now a signature, had sold out almost immediately during their Weekender Cafe Pop-Up back in February.
Husband and wife team chef Craig Wong and Ivy Lam created the space to feature "the food and goods they’re so obsessed with that they had to open a shop next door."They wanted to bring an island getaway feel to the Dundas West neighbourhood.
At JunePlum, they've incorporated the relaxed atmosphere in everything from the goods to the design itself.
"When you walk into our space, you're immediately on vacation. Everything is handpicked and curated just for you, from the merchandise we sell to the tropical vibes and music," reads their website.
The patties ($9.75/each) take three days to produce and has a unique "X" shape that allows for more meat filling within the crust and crispier edges.
Choose between the featured smoked brisket in oxtail gravy or curry G.O.A.T.
Beyond their wide variety of food and drink products, JunePlum also sells pantry items such as the restaurant's own marinades and sauces, Ovaltine cookies, spiced buns, sparkling water, and even Red Stripe Beer.
There's also apparel and home goods for sale, from funky t-shirts and sweaters to accessories like hats and tote bags.
They are currently open for walk-ins and pick-ups on Fridays to Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For a taste of the tropics right here in the city, head to JunePlum at 796 Dundas Street West in Toronto.
