Brooklyn's Rooftop Films coming to Toronto

It's been a long time coming but a rooftop film screening series is finally taking place in Toronto in early May. Brooklyn based Rooftop Films is partnering with Hot Docs to present three screenings as part of this year's festival. All films will be screened at the top of the Citipark Cumberland Garage in the heart of Yorkville.

The screening schedule has just been posted to the Hot Docs web site and includes:

The Parking Lot Movie | USA | 84 min (D: Meghan Eckman)
Long stretches of tedium punctuated by brief moments of "F*ck you, buddy!" - that's life at the Corner Parking Lot. A hilarious look at the ragtag crew of over-educated misfits that you trust with your keys.

Friday, May 7, 8:00pm
Marwencol│USA│83 min (D: Jeff Malmberg)
Seeking solace after a brutal beating, Mark Hogencamp constructs a miniature WW II-era town in his backyard. But when his talent is discovered, the instant "artist" must choose between his fantasy life and the real world he's carefully avoided.

Saturday, May 8, 8:00pm
Rooftop Docs Shorts Program
Dock Ellis & the LSD No-No | USA | 5 min (D: James Blagden)
The Freshwater Plague | Canada |10 min (D: Jake Chirico)
