Fashion Art Toronto's (FAT) is coming back next month and it's going to be the biggest fall fashion week yet.

Year after year, the organization has been the epicenter for all things fashion, from hosting large runway shows to endorsing some of Toronto's most talented, upcoming designers.

"We have more Canadian designers, artists and makers participating than ever before," says director Vanja Vasick. 

And this year FAT is also moving to a new space on East Queens Quay. The theme of the presented collections will be all things "disruption".

"We have a spectacular new venue with 360 degree views of the city skyline and Toronto’s waterfront," says Vasick, "We are filling this gorgeous modern space with runway shows, installations, art, shopping, and more surprises." 

This year will also showcase the recent winners of the FASHIN DISRPTR Awards, an award designated to those designers who are "breaking boundaries" in Toronto's fashion scene

The lucky few local designers this year are Vveyago, Suburban Deviant & PROCESS VISUAL, all of whom will have the chance to showcase their winning collections during this year's festivities.  

Another major award being celebrated at the event is the inaugural Myles Sexton Breakout Talent award. Sexton, a "Canadian model, creative director, stylist, HIV/AIDS activist and queer fashion" has partnered up with FAT to honor those up-and-coming designers elevating Canadian fashion. 

The first winners of the award are fashion provocateurs Jacquiline Bradica, House of Dwir, Lindsay King & sixnineosix, who will all engage in a group show on opening day.

The kick-off for the "city’s biggest multi-arts fashion week" will commence on November 14th, along with showcases from FASHIN DISRPTR award winner Suburban Deviant, Narces, and Evan Biddel. 

The following day, event partner and official beer sponsor Kronenbourg 1664 will debut their 1664 Fashion Week Iconic Accessory Showcase. The initiative and collection aims to "elevate Canada's emerging accessory designers."

A group runway show titled "Good Taste with a Twist" will feature the accessory designs of Canadian designers StudioMema, Portia J. Alight, Phoenix Ba, and Imago Millinery.

Tickets to FAT events are now available on the organization's website, including single-show, day, weekend, and VIP passes.
