Toronto malls and major retail stores open on the August Civic Holiday 2024

Toronto malls and stores open on the August Civic Holiday long weekend are making sure you have everything you need to keep your pantry, fridge and closet stocked for the long weekend.

If you've been scrambling to make sure you have everything you need before your extra day off on Monday August 5th, don't worry! A large majority of big box retailers and malls will still be open for shopping.

If you're hoping to score some cost-effective wares on the holiday Monday, you're in luck.

All Costco locations in the city will remain open and maintain regular hours, while Walmart locations will also be open, but operating on holiday hours. Check their store locator to find out the hours for the location nearest you.

Select Winners, HomeSense and Marshalls locations will be operating on holiday hours, so check ahead to see when (if at all) your nearest location will be open.

To keep the shopping spree going, The Bay locations will also be open on holiday hours.

You'll also be able to shop at other Toronto shopping complexes like Stackt Market, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the holiday, and The Well, which will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., though specific shops might have varying hours.

If you're hoping to shop at smaller or independent retailers, you'll want to call ahead as some may opt to close their doors for the day.

A full list of all of the malls that'll be open for shopping on Civic Holiday 2024 is included below.
