Toronto Gift Guide: The Mighty Wallet
It's getting down to the wire but today marks day number 22 of my quest to find some of the best gifts in Toronto. Today's Pick: The Mighty Wallet. For a wallet that lasts, I usually opt for leather. My inner conflict over leather is a touchy one, though - should I be wearing leather if I'm not eating meat? But I'm also sensitive to my landfill contribution, and faux-leather options will undoubtedly end up as garbage in a few months. There is a happy compromise, though. The Mighty Wallet is free of animal ingredients and it's also 100% recyclable. Win-win.
While a paper wallet may draw skepticism, the "paper" is actually a microfiber material that is tear- and water-resistant. It just looks like paper. Due to an origami-esque design, the wallet is also constructed using no stitching, allowing it to stretch to accommodate wads of cash, frequent-flyer cards or baby photos. The Mighty wallet comes in an array of designs, from pop art to vintage Star Trek to NYC subway map prints.
