Toronto Gift Guide: Pretty Raccoon bow t-shirt
It's day number four of my quest to find some of the best gifts in Toronto. Today's pick: I'm pretty sure a few people will think it brilliant to wrap themselves (unclothed) in a bow as a "sexy" gift to their partners this year. I don't know any stats on the subject but I can only assume that this idea has resulted in more than a few undesirable consequences. Strangulation, restricted circulation, or maybe even frostbite? C'mon people this is sex-with-your-socks-on weather!
Might I suggest a safer and more practical idea? Local gal, Andrea Winkler, makes these gorgeous bow tees in her Toronto studio, under her Pretty Raccoon label. Basic American Apparel deep-v shirts, crewnecks and tanks are dressed up with appliquĂŠ or screen-printed bows. (By the way, when mom says "You are a gift", she probably doesn't mean it literally.)
Additional specs: Various (unisex) sizes, colours and styles
Best for: Practical girly-girls/boys (because choosing between style and comfort is unnecessary, really)
What they'll cost you: $29.00-$49.00
Where to get 'em: On Pretty Raccoon's online Etsy shop. (Note: local shoppers can arrange to pay for and pick up items at Winkler's Annex studio)
