Toronto Gift Guide: MAY28TH wrist watches
It's day number 15 of my quest to find some of the best gifts in Toronto. Today's Pick: MAY28TH wrist watches. I haven't worn a watch in, oh, ten years. If you've ever been my boyfriend, drink-date or boss, you're probably not surprised. While my cell phone is typically in tow, nothing beats a wrist-affixed timepiece to remind me of my perpetual lateness. I guess that's why I don't wear one (ignorance is bliss).
I also don't like them aesthetically. If I were to join the watch-wearing community, though, I'd opt for a MAY28TH design by Toronto-based Agni Tilla. Her plastic watches are water-resistant and come in a myriad of design-cool styles. Graphic prints, close-up textures, and cutesy imagery are all face-options on clear or black plastic straps.
Additional Specs: Face 1.3", band 9.5", quartz movement, battery included
Best for: The white rabbit and the not-so-fashionably late
What they'll cost you: $39.00
Where to get 'em:
tiff. Bell Lightbox Gift Shop 350 King Street West or The Design Exchange Shop 234 Bay Street
