Welcome to Fashion Bites, a weekly roundup of fashion news in Toronto.

The Worn Journal editors are blogging. Yay! Read Coco's and Serah-Marie's individual blogs.

Dress and Suit take on the Mukluk - that dreaded fashion don't.

Two new streetwear companies have just recently made their debuts. New Threat Apparel exists to help others. All the proceeds from the Love Everyday line are donated to non-profit organizations, charities and people that need help. The revenue generated from their main line goes right back into the company, to ensure the Love Everyday line keeps chugging along. JUZD claims to be the planet's first designer bamboo label. I missed the private party last Wednesday because of the snow. Both labels are focused on menswear right now, but plan on adding some womens' gear too.

A video has surfaced of Christabel performing at Circa.

Carolyn at TFI's blog interviews jewelery designer, Rachel Mielke.

Andrew at Now Magazine talks to Ken Chow of KRANE. Ken makes some fantastic handbags and luxurious coats. The people at mens.style.com are noticing.

Fashion Magazine is doing street style shots.

Toronto Craft Alert posts about a potential craft co-op opportunity. If you are interested, please follow that link.

Susie Love is everywhere. Now she has a video on fashionmagazine.com. Hopefully you can get it to load.

Joy at Makeup Junkie blogs about M.A.C beauty trends for Fall 2008.

Fashion Verbatim posted an ensemble he put together for his What to Wear feature. It is the hottest outfit ever and has Anita embedded into the fabric. It keeps calling me...

Afiya Francisco, editor at LouLou, blogs about Virginia Johnson's new online store. I'm drooling over the shawls and tunics.

Bargainista is blogging about her experience with NutriSystem
. Follow her progress.

You still have time to check out the exhibition, The Charm of Rococo: Femininity and Footwear in the 18th century at the Bata Shoe Museum. Take a look back at the world of shoes in the age of Louis the XV. It ends February, 2008. Free with admission.

Henna from Canadian Beauty is back from NYC and has some great backstage fashion week coverage.

Fashion Verbatim and ice age heat wave have the best reviews of the Marc Jacobs Fall 2008 collection ever.

Fashion Magazine, LouLou, and Flare all blog about New York Fashion Week.

I found a kindred spirit: The Iron Chic hates Tory Burch too.

Arthur Mendonca presented his fall 2008 collection at Fashion week. His show was attended by Nelly Furtado, which garnered a fair bit of press. Getty has some fun backstage shots. Radar Online covered the show too. View the collection at Coutorture.com.
