It started on the radio
It's Sunday and my plate is full. My first stop is CIUT. I'm appearing on the show, The First Word, which is a weekly current events program. I was there representing blogTO and I was a little nervous. I had only been on the radio once before and that was several years ago. My brother is the radio guy, not me. Lisa Moskaluk was the host that I interviewed with. We talked briefly about the film festival and fall fashion trends. The show had a fitness theme that week so we talked about the fashionable trend in fitness gear and my own background in sport. I handed out some shopping tips on where to get the best deals on gear. Overall, it was fun chatting it up in the studio and I thank The First Word for having me.
Second stop this whirlwind of a day is The Clothing Show. If you can believe it, this is actually the first time I've attended. I've just always put it off. It was fairly busy in the Automotive building that afternoon. There were a ton of vendors and a lot of stuff to look at, too much even. Hannah from Wonderlust was very busy and I only managed to get a quick hi, how are you in. After wandering the isles for a bit I ran into Meghan and Manuel from jack&marjorie. Their booth looked so fantastic I had to take a picture. Manuel made it and did a damn fine job. They also had a selection of handbags from the new fall collection. Items of note for me are Evelyn, Aunt Sally and the neck wrap.
Once I reached my saturation point at The Clothing Show I left to do what I call the Art Crawl redux and make my third stop. Monique and her crew at the Moonrox booth in Trinity Bellwoods. The Queen West Art Crawl was very busy on that beautiful Sunday afternoon. There were lots of families and doggies walking around. The Moonrox fall collection was on display and it is very colourful. Perfect for bringing colour to the monochromatic colours that are trendy for fall. I love the lariat necklace. I ended up finishing off the night at Sweet Lulu with Moonrox gang. The food which took a little long to arrive, was very tasty. I ordered the combination of Pad Thai noodle, hot Thai sauce, veggies, crushed garlic and sweet basil. Tasty! I was also told that it was very unusual to wait that long, it was busy with art crawl folk. I'll be heading back for a noodle fix.
Both jack&marjorie and Moonrox will be a the One of a Kind show this November.
