Known as the "fastest T-shirt printer in Toronto," Toronto Tees has been operating out of its location at 527 Yonge St. since 2004. 

Their name is a bit misleading – you can get more than just tees at this shop. They offer a range of products including hoodies, tanks, raglans, hats, and sweaters in sizes for babies to adults. 

This spot is unique because of how easy it makes the creation process for customers.

You can email a design, or bring a file on a USB, then have the staff show you what it would look like to make sure you like the design, and then get it printed for you. 

That said, if you have absolutely no design experience and don’t know where to start, they offer a really intuitive design program on their website where you can customize every detail – the item you want to get printed, the colour, what images or text you want on the item, and where. 

The printing methods they use are vinyl printing, ink printing, and direct-to-garment printing.

Direct-to-garment printing is exactly what it sounds like – the store has a large printer that you place the item in, and in just a few minutes, the freshly printed product is out. Then it goes through the "oven" to finish the process and your item is ready to go. 

The vinyl printing method involves your design being printed on a film sheet, so you can see the design before it gets applied to the item. A heat press is then used to apply the design. 

Toronto Tees is handy because there isn't a minimum order for customized apparel - a rarity with most other custom printing shops that typically require more than just one item to be made.

One custom shirt costs $38 to make, while the price per unit goes down the more you purchase.

You can get ten or more shirts for $29 each. A single crewneck sweater will set you back $53, while a zipper hoodie is $63. If you go for a premium quality item, the price goes up a bit.
