Pink Canary is a vibrant little store offering seasonal looks inspired by New York and L.A. fashion trends. 

This colourful shop is one of the few clothing stores in Kensington Market to sell brand new items as opposed to the more popular pre-loved wear that the area is known for. 

It's evident from the jump that the store is going for an L.A. vibe, made obvious by the astroturfed floors, potted yuccas, and a hot pink, neon lights motif. 
Opened by two besties from Toronto, co-owners Laura North and Arcadius Malik, a former New York-based buyer, shop their styles from the States, bringing in new items weekly.

Their stock includes a mix of women's essentials—tees with text are aplenty here—and a list of items that are hot right now, mostly for under $100. 

Cozy faux fur jackets are a staple in most new collections du jour, so you'll find this statement piece in a variety of styles and colours, some for $69.90.

A jumpsuit with slitted pant legs ($99) is a tempting add-on to a fashionista's wardrobe, as are some fun sequined two pieces. 

If you're looking for style and comfort, work-appropriate trousers that feel like cozy lounging pants are available from the L.A. brand Love Tree for $49.

Jeans are all $69 or less, and come from the popular "butt lifting" WAX Jean brand that you may recognize from some other budget-friendly women's clothing stores in the city. 

There's a notable number of fun, floor-length dresses that are perfect for special occasions.

If you're ever in need of an outfit for a night out, there's racks of dresses from L.A. wholesaler Luxxel that average around $148. 

Pink Canary will eventually sell shoes but in the meantime, they carry accessories like basic belts, hats ($29.90), gloves ($34.90), and scarves. 

At the cash register you'll find a few last-minute items that might save the extra trip to the pharmacy, like some lip gloss and two types of strapless silicone bras for $28.90 or $39.90.

Bringing in some new stock to Kensington, Pink Canary is a must-visit for any style lover in the area who's trying to pull an outfit together quickly—especially when scouring for gems in the vintage shops doesn't cut it.
