Nevada Rose
Nevada Rose is a one-stop-shop for fashionistas on the hunt for sexy party looks and outfits to stunt in for the 'gram.
Launched by two Toronto women with notable experience in high-end fashion, the store is racks on racks of sheer shirts, body suits, and tiny crops tops.
Co-owners Char Martin and Yue Shi provide outfits that are super sexy but not gaudy, with a mix of frivolous and functional pieces worth peppering your wardrobe with.
Shi's time at Hugo Boss and Martin's experience at Chanel and as the designer for former Toronto brand Sons of Odin lend some haute to Nevada Rose's skin-tight apparel.
Almost the entirety of the store is a curated selection of items sourced from overseas—there's only around five of each style in stock—while one rack is dedicated to Shi's own line, Terminal 1.
Designed by Shi and made in Canada, Terminal 1 is the legacy brand left over from her old high-end store Octobertwelve in Yorkville. Pieces like a pair of Terminal 1 functional drawstring pants ($109) are perfect to layer with in brutal Canadian climates.
A pair of thermal-lined PVC pants ($55) are a top seller, and feel like they should be an essential in everybody's wardrobe (warm yet stylish, what more can you ask for?) Plus, they're cheap and machine wash-friendly.
And while you'll feel like verified sexpot wearing a sheer cheetah print top with feathery pink cuffs ($55), there's plenty of basics like coats and jeans to supplement the seductive looks for sale here.
It's always good to blend high-end looks with some second-hand gems, so this store also has a backroom of curated vintage pieces with stuff that ranges from $20 up to $100.
And they carry a really lovely selection of dangling earrings for just $15 a pair.
Nevada Rose's selection is super fun and full of fashionable pieces that won't stretch your budget—no wonder it's a favourite for stylists looking to glam up their photo shoots.
