The Latest Scoop
The Latest Scoop is a Vancouver-based store that deals exclusively in the latest trends in clothes, accessories, and homeware.
A one-stop shop that started as a west coast pop-up by entrepreneur Deb Nicole, there's currently four Latest Scoops in Vancouver.
This spacious store is the first location in Toronto, selling everything from jeans to birthday cards.
The policy here is if the item's not on the rack, it's no longer for sale: Latest Scoop refreshes its merch every Thursday with fresh new stock from international and national brands. You may find a few repeats of popular pieces, but pieces usually change weekly in new styles and sizes.
The front area of the store offers racks of the latest looks, like this season's outerwear plaid jacket from L.A. brand Honey Punch ($134).
It's also where you can find home furnishings like oversized shag pillows ($120) and Simply Curated soy candles.
A large selection of jewellery is priced anywhere between $10 and $30, along with some gold-plated necklaces which cost upward of $100.
Playful birthday cards range up to $9.95, in case you're dashing in to grab a gift for a friend and need that final touch.
Clothes from the Vancouver brand Brunette the Label ($79) grace the tables here, so you can wear your hair colour loud and proud on your sweater, in case wearing it on your head isn't enough.
There's always a table of jeans here, with Just Black Denim and Pistola being the core brands available, plus occasional appearances from brands like Flying Monkey and Mavi.
Further in the back of the store is where you'll find rain jackets ($149) and waterproof backpacks ($119) from Rains.
There's also shelves of suede and leather shoes from popular brands like Chinese Laundry and Dolce Vita.
You can find purses and backpacks from the eco-friendly company Matt & Nat.
The Latest Scoop is a must on Ossington to keep you up with the most recent trends. If you're looking for a full-closet, full-home revamp, this is your place to go.
