Women Who Kill
Women Who Kill
Dir. Ingrid Jungermann
USA 2016 (93:00)
Winner of Best Screenplay at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival, Women Who Kill is the “murderously smart and funny” (The Hollywood Reporter) debut feature of writer-director Ingrid Jungermann, creator of the hit F to 7th Web Series.
Morgan (Jungermann) and ex-girlfriend Jean (Ann Carr) run a quasi-famous true crime podcast, where they discuss topics like the hottest female serial killer. They may or may not still have feelings for each other. Everything changes when Morgan meets the mysterious Simone (Sheila Vand, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night). Morgan may or not not be a serial killer.
With a savage wit and low-key absurdity, Women Who Kill is a satire on creative-class Brooklyn, modern relationships and female serial killers.
