Comedy Nuggets brings you a professional line up of women comedians seen on JUST FOR LAUGHS, COMEDY NETWORK, ABSOLUTE COMEDY, YUK YUKS, HALIFAX COMEDY FESTIVAL +MORE.

Live from The Danforth. The show is at The Social Capital Theatre (154 Danforth Ave.).

Here is a little about each of the performers in the show.

JENNIFER HSIUNG

Jennifer is a Canadian television presenter and journalist best known for her work at China Central Television's (CCTV) English-language international network, CGTN (China Global Television Network). The Toronto native first relocated to Beijing in 2006, and joined CCTV as a sports anchor. In the summer of 2008, she covered the country's first-ever Olympic Games, and enhanced exposure to the Games by being one of the first few to report from many of the city's newly constructed Olympic venues, such as the iconic Bird's Nest Stadium and The Watercube.

SARA WREN

Sara Wren is a Canadian stand-up comedian who recently won the 2018 'Notable Stand-up Comedian Award' at The annual Notable Awards held in Toronto. She was featured in NYC's Vulture and Splitsider as a comic to follow, and can be seen on stages across North America, such as: The Comedy Store in Los Angeles, Gotham Comedy Club in New York City, Laughing Skull Lounge in Atlanta and Yuk Yuk's clubs in Canada.

BRIA HIEBERT

Bria is a Canadian writer, stand-up comedian, and actor. She is a member of the sketch troupe Bitch Squad. Bria got her start in writing as an investigative journalist at McGill University, from which she earned a B.A. in political science and communications. Naturally, she chose comedy over law school. Bria is currently a student in the Comedy Writing and Performance program at Humber College. She has performed at Comedy Bar, Yuk Yuk’s and many soul crushing open mics. Her comedy has been described as insightful, eccentric and biting. She is often told to smile more, to which she flashes her shiny adult braces.

ABA AMUQUANDOH

Aba is an actress, writer, stand up comedian as well as a sketch performer. She began her professional acting career as a student at the University of Toronto where she went on to co-write and produce the award winning I Can't Trust Anyone, Everyone Hurts Me. It received the Staging Survivance Award presented by Jill Carter. Aba now performs with Canadian Comedy Award winning Sketchersons every Sunday on Sunday Night live at Comedy Bar. You can catch her around the city doing a set at Bad Dog Comedy Theatre or Pegasus on Church

for shows such as Black and Funny, Yas Kween, SHADE, and QAPD. Aba was also a featured comedian for Las Culturistas I Don’t Think So Honey, hosted by Matt Rogers and Dave Mizzoni. She was recently a member of b current's Emerging Artists Training Ensemble where she workshopped her play Ghanada. You can read an excerpt from the play in The Living

JEN SAKATO

Jen is an up-and-coming comic from Toronto. She regularly performs at the Absolute Comedy, the Corner Comedy Club and has performed across Canada, at the San Diego Comedy Festival and JFL42. Her commentary on being mixed race, dating and modern life makes her an easy crowd favorite.

What are the parking options near The Social Capital?

There is street parking along Danforth Avenue, as well as a Green P parking lot located one block north. To access the Green P parking lot, drive north on Broadview Avenue to Erindale, then turn right.
