Weston Winterfest
The stage is set for our very first Winterfest in Weston Village from November 19th- 21st. This event is the first of its kind in our community, nestled throughout one of the oldest BIA's in Toronto. It will be an inclusive passive event, with free daily activities held at the Artscape Weston Commons (34 John Street Toronto ON M9N 1J3).
The Weston Santa Claus parade had to be cancelled again in 2021 due to uncertainty surrounding public health restrictions, this would have been its 42nd year. As an alternative the Weston Village BIA was able to pivot to bring Weston Winterfest.
The goal of Winterfest is to activate our main street with community centered programming to reconnect again as the pandemic winds down. The event coordinators, staff and volunteers are dedicated to create the most safe environment possible, adhering to all Covid-19 protocols.
Programming includes an indoor holiday market, a mini reverse parade at the Artscape courtyard with free hot chocolate, apple cider and Beavertails from 12-5pm. Guests can also enjoy exploring nine illuminated ice sculptures and live musical performances. There will also be virtual programs through Instagram such as BIA Bingo, Scavenger Hunt, Trivia Night and a Talent Show!
The Weston Village BIA strives to bring the community together through our businesses dedication and support to make Weston Village a place you want to be. We hope to see lots of new faces exploring our Village and supporting local businesses during this event!
The event is funded by the Government of Ontario in addition to our proud sponsors.
