Wavelength 2023 is all about big and bold. Following our free show in Hamilton and the Wavelength Winter Festival, the Wavelength Monthly Series is back in Toronto with its first “normal” show of the year, a night of boundary-pushing musical exploration starring Berlin duo hackedepicciotto and Toronto balladeer Teagan Johnston.
hackedepicciotto are Alexander Hacke (bassist of industrial / noise-rock legends Einstürzende Neubauten) and Danielle De Picciotto. For their first tour in Canada since 2009, they’ll be promoting their sixth and latest album, the noisy, droney, beautiful The Silver Threshold.
Opening the evening is singer-songwriter Teagan Johnston, whose debut album Sentimental Ballad is a heartfelt collection of tender, piano-driven alt-pop ballads drawing on a life of globetrotting and artistic exploration.
COVID Protocols:
PLEASE WEAR A MASK. Though we have returned to in-person events, we acknowledge the pandemic is still ongoing. In the spirit of community care, mask-wearing is requested at Wavelength except when eating or drinking. A supply of free KN95 masks will be available at the door. Rapid tests will also be available, if audience members wish to test prior to entry. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home. Thank you for your understanding and compassion!
Accessibility:
918 Bathurst is not currently wheelchair accessible due to stairs (two half-flights to enter the performance space, and one flight to access the washrooms). For all other accessibility requests, please contact us at info@wavelengthmusic.ca.
