The Church Wellesley Village is thrilled to present the 4th annual VillageFest on Saturday June 17th and Sunday June 18th, 2017 from 11am-11pm.
Celebrate community and everything queer as Canada’s largest LGBTQ+ neighbourhood hosts a fun-filled weekend-long street party! Step into the colourful streets of The Village and enjoy the vibrancy of thirteen patios, a series of local vendors and one incredible performance stage.
Hosted by Deb Pearce and Mark Tara, the event features:
• PWA’s High Heel Strut Competition
• Nuit Rose - a festival of queer art and performance
• Toronto’s Sisters of JOY
• Fabulous drag shows
• Popular local DJs, such as DJ Black Cat
• Trans roundtable discussion
• A book sale presented by Glad Day Bookshop
• + MORE
Love is in the air! This year’s theme is #LoveisLoveisLove - a motif inspired by local photographer, Adam Zivo’s, ongoing project featuring “queer-positive imagery to help combat prejudice experienced by those within the LGBTQ+ community.”
The much-anticipated event features community organization, Rainbow Railroad, which is dedicated to saving the lives of LGBTQ+ people globally.
