Join us this Valentine’s Day for a special food pairing & optional beer pairing with our friends Halo Brewery.

Unfamiliar with Halo? Oh, you are in for a treat! They are a small (but mighty) brewery, tasting room, and bottle shop located in Toronto's Junction Triangle {Well, technically they're 10 steps on the other side of the tracks, but who's counting?} They are self-described beer geeks who love to take Belgian and American brewing philosophies of artistry/ experimentation and turn them on their heads​.

Once you select your ticket type you will have the option of adding the beer pairing on the second page.

Please note the menu can be made gluten-free but the beer pairing is NOT available in gluten-free.

Welcome Bite: Young Coconut "Crabby" Salad on fresh Cucumber with Almond Feta and Bell Pepper Caviar

Paired with... CHRONOSTASIS, 6.5% ABV; Sour Brett Saison with Sumac

Amuse Course: "PB&J" Faux Gras Salted Cashew and Peanut Butter Torchon with Poached Ontario Cherries on Toasted Pumpernickel, smothered with Chives

Paired with... ELDER GOD, 6.6% ABV; Tart Brett Saison with Elderberry & Elderflower

Second Course: Sour Cream & Onion Soup with "Butter Popcorn" Foam

Paired with... TEST PATTERN (PACIFICA), 6.3% ABV; DDH Single Hop IPA

Third Course: Caprese Salad with Homemade Rice Milk Mozzarella, Olive Oil, Fresh Torn Basil, Balsamic and Cracked Black Pepper

Paired with... TOKYO ROSE, 6.4% ABV; Brett Saison with Rose Hips

Main Course: "Burger and Fries" Grilled Handmade Patty with Shredded Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, Mac Sauce, Cheese on a Sesame Seed Bun and Shoe String Frites

Paired with... MAGIC MISSILE, 5.5% ABV; Dry Hopped Pale Ale

Dessert: Hazelnut and Chocolate Pot de Creme with Strawberry Gelée, whipped Marshmallow topping and Chocolate-dipped Strawberry

Paired with... EVENT HORIZOn, 6.0% ABV; Foreign Extra Stout with Sarsaparilla

Muskoka Maple Coffee, Assorted Sloane Teas, along with OntariEau Sparkling and Flat Water are included.

The event begins at 7pm and dinner will start at 7:20pm or when most of the guests have arrived.

{Unless you purchase the pairing} No alcohol will be available for purchase or served onsite; if you bring your own, please don't drink and drive.

We host a monthly themed Vegan Supper Club in our Tasting Room located at 245 Jane Street.

What's a Supper Club you ask? Think of it as an informal dinner party meant to encourage guests to mingle, share and celebrate food. Events are 19+, complimentary sparkling and flat water will be provided. Here's a sneak peek of what to expect or check out our Supper Club Gallery.

Are they always Vegan? Yes. We want people to feel included in the discussion around food, culture and the arts and feel making these events vegan will allow more guests to participate. We make Gluten-Free options when it is appropriate.

Just like an idea, acorns begin small with the hopes of becoming something big, strong and meaningful. This was the initial push behind Urban Acorn LTD. a Flexiatarian Catering company founded by husband & wife team Marie and Chef Daniel Holloway.

Inspired by art, music, and using food as a dialogue for social change, Urban Acorn wants to encourage people to broaden their understanding of food and each other with the hopes of building stronger communities.

Their mostly plant-based 'Flexitarian' approach to cuisine, allows them to seamlessly create menus to both omnivores and vegans. Their philosophy is simple, they believe food should unite, not divide people.
