Variations on Marthe Rakine
Join us for Variations on, a series of interviews with emerging Canadian artists that bring the works housed in the Zwig Foundation Collection into conversation with contemporary art.
Nadia Gohar is a Toronto-based artist who explores themes of memory, migration, and objecthood through a multi-disciplinary approach. She received her BFA from the Massachusettes College of Art and Design and has had solo exhibitions with spaces such as SOIL Gallery in Seattle and the Table in Toronto. As well, Nadia has participated in group exhibitions, most recently at the Queens Museum in New York.
Through this program, we hope to challenge static scholarly perspectives on art, bringing in alternative points of view that can reinvigorate our understanding of Canadian Art.
Please join us early as space for this event is limited.
