This fall, Unsound bookends Halloween in Toronto with two unforgettable nights featuring a radical mix of ambient soundscapes, innovative film and TV scores, dance, and ancient Slavic sounds. All are Canadian exclusives for 2017.
October 27th features Jlin & Company Wayne McGregor dancersperforming Autobiography Edits, based on the British choreographer’s new show, as well as a screening of the cult movie Under the Skin with Mica Levi’s live soundtrack performed by Unsound Toronto Orchestra conducted by Evan Mitchell.
November 3rd features Emmy-winning composers Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein performing their soundtrack to the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, with an immersive MFO light show. Also on the bill is the Toronto premiere of ambient legend GAS and the haunting Polish band Księżyc, combining Slavic sounds with avant-garde theatre.
Both events are presented by Unsound, Civic Theatres Toronto and Luminato, in partnership with the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Toronto and the Polish Cultural Institute New York
