No single artist indeed, no movement or force has eclipsed what Michael Jackson accomplished in the first years of his adult solo career. Jackson changed the balance in the pop world in a way that nobody has since. He forced rock & roll and the mainstream press to acknowledge that the biggest pop star in the world could be young and black, and in doing so he broke down more barriers than anybody.

Michael Jackson wasn't merely the biggest pop star of his era, shaping the sound and style of the '70s and '80s; he was one of the defining stars of the 20th century, a musician who changed the contours of American culture. A preternaturally gifted singer and dancer, and we are more than happy to do a tribute to the king of pop with our Afro-Brazilian drumming crew TDot Batu featuring Treson & The 420 Orquestra.

TDot Batu is a tightly knit Afro-Brazilian percussion batucada inspired by the power and dedicated to the study of the rich rhythmic tradition born out of the fusion of samba and reggae from Salvador, Bahia. As integral part of the Toronto Tropical music scene we collaborate with members of the arts and music community to create spectacular participatory celebrations that reflect the vast color and energy of Brazilian culture.

Formed by the best musicians in town The 420 Orquestra is a band that will give lots to talk about. An amazing diversity talented musicians compose this crew who been backing up TDot Batu for different shows on stage.

As they participate last year in the Tribute to Bob Marley, we have a special conection between the 2 crews, that went it goes together on stage is guaranteed a big explosion and lots of dancing for sure!!!!!

SELECTA YO DUB

Since a young age , Yodub have been influenced with many music styles all his life. From Heavy metal, to rock, from Punk rock to reggae, from raggamufin to hip hop, cumbia, dub etc. With a long list of music background what a better idea of having him Djing for the night.

Recently in a couple different parties where Yodub was the DJ of the night, we heard very good comments from the people that they really like his selection of music.

Get your dancing shoes ready because this will be jam will kick off spring time shows!
