Toronto's Premier Afro Caribbean Farmers' Market
Afro Caribbean Farmers' Market a weekly Sunday outdoor farm-to-table vending experience for affordable, ethical, local and clean-grown fruits and vegetables of diasporic cultural origin.
With select imported foods from the Caribbean and Africa, alongside a curated group of lifestyle items made by local artisans to compliment takeout food options, such as freshly baked bread, juices and desserts, this market elevates racialized farmers alongside food-producers in densely urbanized neighbourhoods.
Each Sunday from 11am to 3pm from July to October, the newly designated 'Little Jamaica' cultural district's Green P Carpark also known as "Reggae Lane" will transform into a vibrant animated food space, where the York-Eglinton Ave West neighbourhoods can experience a cultural food hub that forms a collective platform for sharing food and exchanging food culture with the community.
