Toronto's 33rd Annual Bloomsday Festival
Toronto's 33rd annual Bloomsday Festival will be taking place on Saturday, June 16th, 2018. This is a FREE event - all welcome! Come for all or part of the celebration.
"There's something wonderfully mad about celebrating a man who never existed on a day that never was" (Mary Durkan, Founding Artistic Director, Toronto Bloomsday Festival).
Join us as we celebrate Bloom on Beach(es) by recreating Dublin, 1904 with music and dramatized readings from James Joyce's masterpiece: ULYSSES.
SCHEDULE
9:00am: Assemble at the Beaches Library, 2161 Queen Street East
9:30-11:00am: Readings along the Boardwalk, Park, and Bandstand (Kew Gardens)
11:00am-Noon: Readings and Music at Beaches Library
BLOOMSDAY BRUNCH
Noon-2:00pm: The Gastro Pub, 1987 Queen Street East
Our Davy Byrne's with great food, readings, music, a fun Ulysses Quiz, singalong, and merriment.
CLAIRE'S BENCH
2:30pm: Join us on the Boardwalk, as we commemorate dear friends of Bloomsday. We will sing some songs, including Anna Liffey, in their honour.
