Join MC Vish Khanna with a live taping of the Kreative Kontrol podcast and panelists Derek Emerson (MSI guitarist), Shawn Chirrey (Still Thinking fanzine/records), Simon Harvey (Ugly Pop Records), Fran Grasso (Urbain Grandier Records), and Sue McCluskey (Partner and Communications Director at Goods & Services) as we discuss the history of TOHC (Toronto Hardcore), including stories of the Toronto scenes in the ‘80s, how punk changed lives, landmark gigs, slam dancing, and hardcore punk’s influence on the greater local culture over the years. With a backdrop of photos, flyers and other images from this 1980s Toronto subculture we will also discuss the books design and the aesthetics of hardcore. With plenty of time for audience questions.
