From June 22 to August 27, 2023, Toronto Outdoor Picture Show proudly presents Another World, a 21-date open-air festival programme. The TOPS season will kick off with a 5-evening opening weekend of film screenings at Fort York in June, before moving the traveling show to Corktown Common, Bell Manor Park, and TOPS’ signature series, Christie Pits Film Festival, in July and August.

Toronto Outdoor Picture Show’s summer-long programme invites audiences to explore a myriad of different worlds, from unique microcosms of the everyday to fantastical spaces of the imagination. Another World will unfold over nightly pairings of short and feature films that bring to life the microscopic worlds beneath our feet and of the far reaches of outer space; tales from the distant past and dystopian futures; and visions of escapist fantasies juxtaposed against unique spaces forged by communities building new, better worlds in the here-and-now.

Screenings are open to anyone who would like to attend, with no barriers to entry. TOPS is always free to all, and charitable donations make this possible.

The Another World programme is curated by Artistic & Executive Director Emily Reid, TOPS co-founder Felan Parker, and programming contributors Rachel Barclay, Isabella Brown, Tika Francis, Laura Kim, David Osubronie, and Jon Petrychyn.
