Toronto Christmas Market
Selected as one of the World’s 10 Best Holiday Markets by Fodor’s Travel and Jetlegs, the Toronto Christmas Market is the perfect place to rediscover the magic of Christmas.
Entering its fifth year, the Toronto Christmas Market promises to add more enchantment, romance and magic than ever before. The free event runs for 21 days, over four weekends from November 28 to December 21, giving visitors the opportunity to experience this special festival for one week longer. The Toronto Christmas Market encompasses all of the small, old town charm of a traditional Christmas market, while still remaining cool, urban and sophisticated.
The historic brick-lined Victorian neighbourhood of the Distillery Historic District, along with its gas lamp and romantic light canopies continue to create the perfect Dickensian holiday atmosphere. The Market’s event stage features over 200 on stage acts, including carolers choirs, brass bands and dancers, while outdoor holiday vendors line the street selling handcrafted goods and tasty delicacies. The Market also features several heated beer and mulled wine gardens, a 45-foot-tall white spruce tree, donated by Trees Ontario, decorated with over 18,000 light bulbs, a beautiful carousel and Ferris wheel and, of course, Santa Claus.
