Toronto Arthouse Film Festival

The Toronto Arthouse Film Festival welcomes filmmakers who explore and develop new filmmaking conventions in their quest to realize their visions effectively on a limited budget. Admission is free!

Night 1 - Wednesday, October 16, 7 PM

Featuring 5 short films. All films are in English and/or have English subtitles.

Wood Dove – David Jonathan Orr

Animated video, made entirely from still images of dove feathers for a song by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis.

Furrie – Lucie Grannec

Different portraits, existing, of members of the Furry community.

Frogs – Vehbi Bozdag

One morning, a girl, who lives with her mother in a small-town, notices that the rubble is being removed from the field outside her window. This realization prompts her to reassess her life.

Reep – Jakub Blank

A young man spends his weekends summoning the power of god.

Koka – Aliaksandr Tsymbaliuk

An intimate story of the relationship between father and son.

Marry, Fuck, Kill (United States) by Ian Berry – WORLD PREMIERE

Insecurities and frustrations abound as Ivan’s inner lizard-brain chatter leaves no room to breathe in this unflinching, humorous, empathetic portrait of someone you despise.
