The time has come to celebrate the talents and achievements of the members of the Toronto Kiki Ballroom Alliance!

Our last awards ball was May 2015, at York University and it was spectacular. We welcomed our 2nd round of Kiki Legends and had a function to remember organized by the TKBA collective. This function will be bigger and better, and will be the 1st Awards Ball that is SELF-FUNDED !! ALL SUPPORT IS APPRECIATED !!

The event has no cover for general admission, but the TKBA will be raising funds for future functions

For this awards ball, our theme is FAIRY TALES! The members of the TKBA have come up with categories that allow for a lot of creativity!! As this is the AWARDS ball, we are asking all walkers to please respect the themes provided and come in the proper effects.

Bring it in a creative effect, with hair wig, weave, natural that is at least shoulder length!

2. Runway Virgin - MF European - MF All American - FF - Legendary

The Dark Side Of FAIRY TALE land

Bring it in a look inspired by a fairy tale villain! Do not copy the look, just be inspired and be creative.

3. Realness Schoolboy, Thug, Exec, Drags, FQ, Butch, Transman

Story Time

Bring it as a main character of a NON-TRADITIONAL Fairy Tale! Fairy Tales from Africa, Asia, and South America are encouraged, but not necessary! Bring a picture reference!

4. Face BQ, Drags/FQ, Women, Butch/Transman

Mirror, Mirror in my hand, who's the fairest in the land??!!

Bring it in the look OF YOUR CHOICE, accessorized with a complimenting bedazzled hand mirror!!

5. Sex Siren Male Figure, Female Figure

Bring it in your own sexy interpretation of a half human, half mythological being!

6. Body Male Figure, Female Figure

Den of temptation

Bring it in a seductive effect made of grass and plants.

7. Best Dressed MF, FF

The treasure hunt

Bring it in a fashion forward look, with a concealed accessory that you reveal during your 1st battle!! Make sure your look is strong enough to get your 10s without the accessory.

8. Bizarre

Four Elements

Take any fairy tale, and take at least four elements within that story to create an out of this world look. BE as creative as possible!!

9. Commentator vs Commentator

Drop an original chant that starts off with "Once Upon A Time.."

The winner of this category will commentate the next TKBA function, and will be paid for it

10. Designer's Delight

Bring your own design on yourself, or a model of what you would wear to a Royal Midnight Ball! Be inspired by the fashion within traditional fairy tales!!

My fcked up fairy tale

Create an original production using characters from different fairy tales. The production MUST INCLUDE A CHOREOGRAPHED SECTION!

15. Runway As A House 3 or more

Bring an in sync runway production of at least 1 minute, as 3 or more of the same type of fairy tale being. IE. Fairies, trolls, unicorns, princesses, etc. Be as creative as u want to be!
